a foundation for

INTERdependence

A Foundation for Interdependence operates from the premise that psychological, spiritual and community well-being depend upon an underlying web of interrelationships between nature, humanity and human culture. Our mission is to promote greater awareness of this existential fact of life and to support the personal and social development that evolves from this awareness.

Toward this end we are committed to the study and advancement of a psychology of interdependence, this is an integral psychology that encompasses elements of mainstream psychotherapy, transpersonal psychology and a new social learning method called "learning community."

The Foundation has three primary goals. The first is to create shared experiences of the interrelatedness of individual, community and environmental well-being. The second is to teach the psychological, social and spiritual skills that enable us to successfully interdependent in daily life. And, the third is to liberate humanity's untapped social potential so that we can access and apply our collective consciousness on behalf of the evolutionary process. Within the context of community, the Foundation specializes in helping individuals, couples, groups and organizations cultivate the new modes of thinking and behaving that result in personal empowerment and cultural transformation.
